Natural and Organic Amber Horn, Shell, Bone and Brass Pendant Necklace

Earthy and exotic, this seashore-inspired multi-strand statement necklace is an awesome composition of natural materials from around the world. Featuring two carved round brownpen shell pendants and earthy tones of brown, ivory, amber and brass, the color palette for this island infused piece of artisan jewelry represents all of the individual colors of the sand.

The shell pendants are handcut in the Philippines from the brownshell and then carved with intricate sand dollar-like designs. The six strands include burnt horn cubed rectangles, amber horn flat rectangles, hollow ivory shell teardrops, amber mother of pearl ovals, dark brown bone heishi and goldlip shell heishi. There are a few rich and lush amber color olive wood rondelles placed throughout as well. 

Gold-plated bails and African brass provide a nice metal element as well as providing contrast to the natural character of the necklace. The brass rings at the necklace ends are handmade by people living in Nigeria and Cameroon. They are individually made so each one is unique. They are antiqued, rough and inexact making them very exotic and ancient-looking. Two awesome dutch gold resin nuggets from Indonesia add a very unique touch of antiqued and hammered metal that both contrasts and harmonizes with the deep amber tones of the mother of pearl bead strand on which they are strung. 

Ornate Bali sterling silver cones adorn each necklace end and along with the sterling silver S clasp, add a shimmery silver element to the necklace and create a little bit of a polished, modern look. These cones are oxidized giving them a beautiful antiqued appearance and each one of these miniature pieces of artwork are individually created so there will be variations in the style of the cones and clasp.
