Exotic Green Jade, Yellow, Orange, Amber & Batik Bone Tribal Necklace

Java Necklace:

Bold and vivid, this exotic yet modern tribal choker necklace is an enchanting fusion of contemporary design elements and unusual components from around the world. Oversize chunky beads of olive green jade add a refreshing curved motion to the necklace and provide it with shape and form. Orange aventurine is the other gemstone in this piece and with its unique square chip shape it adds contrast in regard to texture, shape and color. 

Amber color resin beads balance out the orange of the aventurine while the yellow resin beads are geometrically placed throughout the necklace in order to balance themselves out. Also made of resin are the lime green disc beads that create a feeling of motion due to their circular disc shape. All of these resin beads are handmade in Java, Indonesia by cottage industry. Resin is taken from local trees, poured into molds and colored. Once it has hardened, it is cut individually into shapes and polished smooth or buffed to a more modern matte finish. 

Rustic and soulful, the irregular cut polka dot coin beads are handmade in Kenya from cow bone. They are cut and shaped and then batiked using dark brown dyes and wax. These beads have a wonderful natural feel and earthiness to them and add so much primitive flavor to this overall modern necklace. Exotic coconut rings from the Philippines adorn each end of the necklace adding some island flavor to this alluring piece. 

Brass washers are placed throughout the necklace creating the base for a contemporary look and providing contrast and transition between the different types of beads. This versatile necklace closes with an antique brass lobster clasp and can be adjusted in length from 18 to 22 inches using the attached brass chain.
