Southwest Jewelry Collection

My Southwest collection reflects the style and flavor found in the Southwestern United States, specifically Arizona and New Mexico, where both Native American and Mexican heritage have a huge influence, creating a unique ethnic experience. Also included in this collection is jewelry indicative of both modern day Mexico and ancient Mexican civilizations, such as the Aztecs. Native to the southwest, turquoise is by far the stone most used in traditional jewelry of many Native American tribes, often accompanied by shell heishe and coral. More recently Pueblo and Navajo people have included silver in their designs, becoming incredible silversmiths offering highly detailed and unique pieces of jewelry that define southwest style. Both the traditional, rustic southwest jewelry and the more modern stylized silver and turquoise jewelry are represented in this collection.
