South Africa with Love Bracelet

Three strands of bold and vibrant gemstones framed on either end by unique pewter pebbles and ornate sterling silver make this stunning bracelet both exotic and elegant at the same time. Rich elements and magnificent colors harmonize in a dramatic design to create this beautiful and intriguing handcrafted artisan bracelet. I designed this bracelet to accompany the dramatic necklace of the same name. I have also created another three strand necklace named Red Gold and Green that complements this bracelet.

The deep violet beads are carved from the gemstone sugilite, a rare stone found primarily in South Africa. These beads can range from light lavender to dark purple and will vary from piece to piece. Although I don’t put much stock into the "meaning" of stones, sugilite is interesting in that it is considered an important love stone. It represents spiritual love and wisdom, alleviating tension and disappointment with its beautiful purple rays, bringing healing with love. That would be just wonderful, but at least it could probably bring some happiness and cheeriness to your day!

The red, gold, and green beads are the same stones used in the necklace and are consistent with the South African theme of the jewelry as these colors are the official Pan-African colors based on the Ethiopian flag originating from the Rastafari movement. The red is sponge coral, the gold is faceted butterscotch agate, and the green is serpentine, commonly referred to as yellow turquoise.

The ornate silver spacer bars and beads are handcrafted in Bali from sterling silver, while the matte polished silver pebble-shaped beads are actually cast pewter beads. This designer bracelet closes with a simple, but beautiful sterling silver toggle style clasp and will be made to fit your wrist size.
