The large orange beads in this soulful artisan bracelet are made in Greece from a unique mix of terra cotta clays. They are hand-shaped, dyed, and kiln-fired to obtain this brilliant orange color. The two other types of beads in the bracelet are bone, one antiqued and carved, the other batiked to obtain the dotted pattern. The wood ring is Sono wood from Indonesia. The bracelet is strung on Greek leather cord and closes with a toggle clasp using the wood ring and a brass toggle bar.
The hand of Fatima pendant is antique gold-plated and has a stylized spiral pattern. This ancient symbol is used primarily in the Middle East and Northern Africa in architecture, jewelry and amulets as divine protection, peace and freedom. It is often used to ward against the evil eye in many cultures throughout the world.
